A Timelapse of The Colorado Wildfires

Colorado is currently experiencing some of the largest wildfires in the state's history. In June, I visited the Bruce Spruce Ranch a little ways outside of Pagosa Springs and watched as the Windy Pass, West Fork, and Papoose wildfires burned thousands of acres of forest. I have never seen such a powerful event up close like this before, it was truly humbling.

How it works:

It is simple, but if you want to delete or edit the title and contents of the video, then YouTube is a much better choice. Also, there doesn't seem to be a delete feature if you want to delete the video later, maybe the new site will add this feature and others.

It's all time-lapse footage shot in and around Anchorage, Alaska, with the emphasis on the nature around the city rather then on the people and buildings. This is a collection of the nicer stuff I shot of the northern lights, stars, sunset, and the tide. All of this was shot between October 2011 and April 2012. How to peel a potato in two seconds

1.) Boil your potatoes like you normally do fully skinned (15 to 20 minutes).


2.) After boiling is done, quickly transfer the cooked potatoes into a bowl of ice cold water.


3.) Let the water cool down for about 5 seconds.


4.) Remove the potatoes and twist at the edges, the skin peels off potatoes easily.
