How to delete Kindle eBooks in Amazon or move them to Trash folder?

Posted on 6:11 AM by Unknown
I downloaded lots of free books in Amazon, but I wanted to delete some of them completely from my account. So I did a search for it to see how this can be done, since there were no obvious links or buttons in either the device or in the cloud. Amazon stores the books either in the device you are reading or in the cloud (before it used to call them as "Archives").

Apparently, we can only move the selected books to the trash folder and keep them away from the "Device" and the "Cloud". Amazon's logic is suppose if we want to read the deleted books again, then we can move it from the trash folder to either the "Device" or to the "Cloud". But if we want to delete them permanently? There doesn't seem to be a solution in Amazon for now.

If you want to remove the books to the Trash folder, then follow the following steps:
1. Log on to your Amazon account.
2. Go to "Your Account"
3. Go to "Digital Content" section and click the "Your Collection" link.
4. Select the book you want to Delete or move them to trash.
5. Once you select the book a window pops open as shown below:
6. Click the "Move to trash" button.
7. The selected book is then removed from either the "Device" or from the "Cloud".
8. To see the trash folder, just scroll down the "View Your Collection" button at the top and select the "Trash" folder to see the books in the trash.

9. If you made a mistake or want to move the books from the trash folder back to the device, then go to the "Trash" folder and select the book and click the "Return to your Collection" button.

Free Kindle Book: Make More, Worry Less: Secrets from 18 Extraordinary People Who Created a Bigger Income and a Better Life eBook: Wes Moss

Posted on 8:10 AM by Unknown
Make More, Worry Less: Secrets from 18 Extraordinary People Who Created a Bigger Income and a Better Life

This is a management book like the Dale Carnegie series, it is free for a limited time, original price $19.99.

Make More, Worry Less: Secrets from 18 Extraordinary People Who Created a Bigger Income and a Better Life eBook: Wes Moss: Kindle Store
Moss proposes fresh ways to succeed in a corporate environment using the four-step HUNT method he established in his first book, a primer on entrepreneurship called Starting from Scratch: Harness what you have, Underestimate your obstacles, Notice your network and Take the first (or next) step. The book's four parts cover each leg of the acronym, and each of the 18 chapters are tied to a specific individual's success story on the frontlines of such companies as Ogilvy Public Relations, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Warner Music, Coca-Cola and GE. Narratives are mined for principles ("Keep it simple") and practical tips (put off casual reading in favor of "thinking through the coming meeting") while keeping a steady eye on the big picture-moving forward and building momentum. Conversational and straightforward, this guide to sensible career advancement should prove useful and encouraging for those new to the workforce, as well as those stuck on the lower rungs of the corporate ladder.

Free Kindle eBook: Your Brain and Business: The Neuroscience of Great Leaders

Posted on 12:49 PM by Unknown
Your Brain and Business: The Neuroscience of Great Leaders

The highly rated management book normally costs $34.99 is free today in Amazon.

Harvard psychiatrist and executive coach Srinivasan S. Pillay illuminates the rapidly-emerging links between modern brain science and the corner office. What does neuroscience have to do with leadership? Everything. Recent advances in brain science and neuroimaging can dramatically improve the way leaders work with colleagues to drive successful change. As the brain is increasingly examined in the context of personal and organizational development, remarkable insights are being uncovered: insights that are leading to powerful new strategies for improving business execution. Pillay reveals six powerful ways that brain science can be used by today’s executives, and presents powerful new interventions for coaches who want to help their clients overcome common leadership problems. Discover how to use positive, “strengths-based” approaches to encourage the brain to learn… how the fascinating neuroscience of social intelligence can help leaders encourage more effective relationships… how to promote innovation and intuition, and overcome intangible vulnerabilities in leaders’ brains… how to transform the “idea” of change into crisp, timely execution… and much more. Leaders and coaches worldwide are already applying this knowledge to dramatically improve personal performance. Now, with Pillay’s help, everyone can.

Send Documents from PC to Kindle Reader or Kindle App

Posted on 5:34 AM by Unknown

This "Send to Kindle" feature was introduced a few months ago but the documents were restricted to be sent to Kindle Reader only, it didn't allow to be read in your Kindle apps in smartphone or tablets. Now, Amazon has added this new feature, where you can send documents to any Kindle app, be in a Smartphone (Android or iOS) or in a Tablet (Android Tablets or iPad).

I tried this feature today and I was able to send documents easily. We can send it either from the folder option by right clicking the mouse and choosing "Send to Kindle" or use the print function in documents and selecting "Send to Kindle" as shown in the below images:

Send Documents to Kindle from Folders.

Send Documents to Kindle from Application.

To do this, download the main application from Amazon from this link and select the document you want to send to your Kindle from either the folders or from the Word or other applications. Once you click the "Send to Kindle", you will be given an option to which app you want to send the documents to whether to your Smartphone, laptop or Tablets. Once you select that the document will download in the background and you can see that document in the "Docs" section in the Kindle app.

Free Kindle Ebook: Pictures of the Mind: What the New Neuroscience Tells Us About Who We Are by Miriam Boleyn-Fitzgerald

Posted on 8:57 AM by Unknown
Pictures of the Mind: What the New Neuroscience Tells Us About Who We Are (FT Press Science)

Pictures of the Mind: What the New Neuroscience Tells Us About Who We Are (FT Press Science) eBook by Miriam Boleyn-Fitzgerald is free in Amazon today. It has 5-star reviews. The book is about the following:
Over the past decade, a revolution in medical imaging has allowed researchers to scan the brain of subjects in situ, while setting their minds to an assigned task. Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and positron emission tomography (PET) are revealing, among other discoveries, that the brain of some apparently vegetative patients can be active; the brain's ability to heal and grow well beyond what was previously believed; and the various centers of different behaviors and skills. Physicist and science writer Boleyn-Fitzgerald addresses brain injury, addiction, memory, meditation, and more with summaries of recent research, cogent explanations of what scientists are learning, and plentiful references. Fascinatingly, she illustrates how "knotty questions about morality, blame, and punishment provide abundant raw material for brain researchers," who can assess, for instance, "whether 'normal' brains are wired for altruism and cooperation." Boleyn-Fitzgerald writes in a clear voice, making scientific data engaging and accessible for anyone with an interest in the study of neurology, mindfulness, or behavior.

Kindle Fire is a good device to have, if you are just into reading, watching movies, listening to music and occasionally use the Apps. But if you want more than that, then iPad2 or any Android Tablet will be much more suitable. They have more features, processing power and increased display size.
