I downloaded lots of free books in Amazon, but I wanted to delete some of them completely from my account. So I did a search for it to see how this can be done, since there were no obvious links or buttons in either the device or in the cloud. Amazon stores the books either in the device you are reading or in the cloud (before it used to call them as "Archives").
Apparently, we can only move the selected books to the trash folder and keep them away from the "Device" and the "Cloud". Amazon's logic is suppose if we want to read the deleted books again, then we can move it from the trash folder to either the "Device" or to the "Cloud". But if we want to delete them permanently? There doesn't seem to be a solution in Amazon for now.

If you want to remove the books to the Trash folder, then follow the following steps:
1. Log on to your Amazon account.
2. Go to "Your Account"
3. Go to "Digital Content" section and click the "Your Collection" link.
4. Select the book you want to Delete or move them to trash.
5. Once you select the book a window pops open as shown below:
6. Click the "Move to trash" button.
7. The selected book is then removed from either the "Device" or from the "Cloud".
8. To see the trash folder, just scroll down the "View Your Collection" button at the top and select the "Trash" folder to see the books in the trash.
9. If you made a mistake or want to move the books from the trash folder back to the device, then go to the "Trash" folder and select the book and click the "Return to your Collection" button.
