One of my friends asked me this question, so I am posting this here. There is no File open button in Chrome browser to open a file or a folder in your Windows PC computer. But, there are alternatives to do that function, you can use either of the following methods:
For Mac computers use the following command (press command and letter O keys together):

- Just press the CTRL and the O keys “CTRL + O” shortcut and choose the file you would like to open in Chrome browser.
- Type “file:///C:/” or just the letter of the drive “C:” in the URL bar as shown below:
