How to keep French press coffee hot longer?

I have one of this French press coffee maker made by Bodum, I like the coffee made by it but it gets cold quickly. Then I tried this method below, since then the coffee stays warmer in the French press coffee maker as well as in the cup. 

1. First, add a cup of water more than you use for making coffee in either the kettle or any other pot.

2. Heat the water to boil in the kettle.

3. Pour half or more cup into the press and leave it for a minute and rinse the whole inside with that water and pour it out.

4. Pour little water into the cup and shake the cup and pour the water out.

5. Pour the remaining water in the French press with the coffee grounds at the bottom and prepare the coffee the usual manner.

Pour the prepared coffee into the cup, it will be warmer than the coffee you made before without these steps. This method is similar to the Chinese tea making process but there they repeat the steps 3 to 4 a few times.
