Meditate with Calm iOS App or Web App

Posted on 11:01 AM by Unknown
Calm.com is a nice site that helps us to stay calm or meditate for a brief period. The web version has a voiceover, guides us how to meditate. The site has a nice background, though when we meditate we're supposed to close our eyes. They also have an iOS app http://goo.gl/F7DNU I usually meditate silently, but this app gives a good start. Give it a try, if you do meditation daily, it really helps both mind and body. If you don't...

Use Screen Protectors to later remove tough windshield stickers

Posted on 2:47 PM by Unknown
I found this nice tip from Lifehacker, before you attach windshield stickers such as Parking Permits, Car License information etc., use a screen protector first. When you want to remove the windshield stickers at a later time, you can just peel off the screen protector easily from the car window. If you have more than one windshield sticker to attach then cut the screen protector in half and paste one windshield sticker (with different expiry dates)...

Grammerly Lite - Good Online Grammar checker for Blogger, Twitter, Facebook and more

Posted on 2:52 PM by Unknown
I found this nice Grammar checker "Grammarly Lite" extension for Chrome browser, it checks grammar quickly and underlines any error in the text like the above example. To make it work after installing the extension look for G icon in the text window, usually is at the bottom right corner. Another good feature this extension has is to look for alternate words, when you select the word, it gives a list of alternate words to choose from. This extension...

How to add multiple words in Gmail Filter

Posted on 3:34 PM by Unknown
I use one email for multiple clients and I wanted to create a filter for one client, for whom I sell multiple products. Since, I get a general payment notification, I have to do manually assign each mail to that particular client, but there is a better and easy way, Gmail filters. For example, if you want to assign "Product A", "Product B", "Product C" and so to one folder, then use the following method:1. Select the email you want to assign...

Cutting pineapple made easy with OXO Ratcheting Pineapple Slicer

Posted on 2:11 PM by Unknown
The video shows how easy it is to slice pineapple. Cut the top portion off and use any one of the slicers shown here to slice the rest of the pineapple. There are two versions available, one plastic ($9.99) and the other steel ($19.99), I would go with steel because of durability reasons. The OXO steel version also has a good review in America's Test Kitchen.OXO Pineapple Slicer - PlasticOXO Pineapple Slicer - St...

Australian photographer captures asteroid and meteor same night

Posted on 1:51 PM by Unknown
Colin just wanted to capture the movement of the Asteroid 2012 DA 14 instead he also captured the meteor movement that struck Russia last week.Asteroid 2012 DA 14 passed very close to the Earth on February 16th 2013, local time. Australians, and Western Australians in particular were in a great position to observe the asteroid, being on the night side of Earth as it flew by.I captured this footage starting 3.24 am from a dark sky site 350 km east of Perth. Just after camera rolling, a beautiful meteor burned across the sky, and amazingly, passed...

Create new themes with 'My Chrome Theme' Chrome Browser Extension

Posted on 8:32 AM by Unknown
I made this "Biblia Koshodo Bold" theme for the Chrome browser with the new "My Chrome Theme" by Google, it is so easy to make and to add colors and options. Still haven't figured out the right optimum photo size for this extension, but try adding bigger size photos to fit the screen. Thanks to +Karthik Nagaraj for introducing us this extension.I would like two things added to this extension, one, the "Edit" option and the second "SnapSeed"...

Get free 25GB Storage from Box.com

Posted on 3:48 PM by Unknown

I use them both. Also, try Mega.co.nz, which offers 50GB free capacity. Unlike Dropbox and Box, Mega doesn't have a file size limit, which will come in handy when you have to send it large legal fil...

How to convert a Subtitle .SRT file to .Txt Text file

Posted on 12:30 PM by Unknown
I had a closed-caption file in .SRT format and I wanted to change it to a .Txt file format for language translation purposes. I searched for the web for a quick and easy solution. There were a number of solutions but I found the below method to be simpler than others:1.) Open the "Notepad" program in Windows and open the .SRT file. (Since Notebook opens only txt files as default, click "All files" first to see the .SRT files as shown below. Click...
